Knowledge & News Network (KNN)Jan 13, 2022MSMEs in UP generate 3.28 cr jobs in 5 years: MSME department surveyLucknow, 13 Jan (KNN) As per a survey conducted for Uttar Pradesh by the department of MSME and export promotion, 3.28 crore jobs have been generated over past five years based on 11 MSME loan accounts.There are total 95 lakh loan accounts, and the survey looked at 11 lakh loan accounts. A physical verification of beneficiary details was also carried by the authorities.Commenting on the findings of the survey, a government official said, “If the results of the survey are scaled up to the total number of bank accounts, it can be concluded that in the last five years, the government has generated more than 3.28 crore jobs just through the MSME sector.”Read more at Knowledge & News Network (KNN)
